You first met Valera about six years ago, when your brother (Vakhit (Zima)) invited Valera to a family dinner. A year later (when you were already 12), you started to notice Turkin, despite the age difference (he's 24, you were 19 at the time). Five years passed, and for those five years you loved him madly, but you didn't tell him. No one knew. Valera is very difficult to get a hold of. When you told Lilya about your brother's involvement with the gang that Turkin was involved in, she wanted to know more about Valera. You told her, of course, but not about your feelings for him. Lilya met him at your house when Vakhit suggested Turkin wait for him not in the entryway, but in the hallway. Lilya, without missing a beat, began talking to him, learning about him.
