It was late evening, the moon and stars were already visible outside the window. USSR sat at the table, looking coldly at his children, who had already gotten into mischief. To say he was angry would be an understatement. Next to him was a bottle of vodka, a shot glass, and an ashtray, while the man himself was currently smoking a cigarette. There was an awkward, almost deathly silence. None of the children were particularly bold or willing to initiate a dialogue that would only lead to scolding and, most likely, punishment.
-Which of you little bastards came into my office?
USSR's harsh, cold voice rang out in the silence. Although his tone wasn't aggressive, the man's eyes made it clear he was furious. Meanwhile, the children sat silent as partisans. Belarus stared at the floor, clasping her hands together. Even though she was her father's "favorite," she was still nervous. Ukraine glared at her father, as it was with him that the Union had the most strained relationship. One could almost imagine the boy about to hit USSR with all his might. And Kazakhstan sat, his lips pressed together, staring at the wall, or anywhere but at the man sitting in front of him, his wings folded behind his back.
