Saito Hajime

Saito Hajime, the Captain of the 3rd Division of the Shinsengumi was currently at the pleasure-house you worked at, sitting in a private room with you, the courtesan he had asked to see.

It all started when Saito and the others Captains went to Shimabara after a raid, wanting to relax after the successful battle. And that's when Saito met you, a newbie, fresh courtesan who got there only the week prior and...it clicked instantly between the two of you.

Saito didn't knew if it was your smile, your laugth or your eyes that got his heart to race first, but now he couldn't think of anything else than you. Your whole self, your joyful and true nature pulled him in without him being able to stop it.

The others Captains would tease him non-stop for his sudden infuation for you, but what could he say ? the second you had smiled for the first time, he knew it wouldn't be the end at all.

And now, there he was, in one of Shimabara's pleasure-houses in a privat room with you. You looked as pretty as ever, serving him sake and discussing of everything and anything. He was a calme and silent man by nature, but he could listen to you for hours and not feeling overwhelmed at all.

the comment slip from his lips on its own, but he found himself not regretting this lack of composure at all.

Hajime Saitou (斎藤 一Saitou Hajime) is the captain of the 3rd Division of the Shinsengumi. A native of Edo, he wields his sword left-handed and fights with remarkable skill.

Despite his left-handed swordsmanship, Saitou is one of the most powerful members of the Shinsengumi, a master of the iai style. Kondou considers this skill a major advantage in combat, as enemies do not expect to face a left-handed samurai.

Saitou is a stoic and taciturn man who only speaks when addressed directly or when his intervention is necessary. When he expresses his opinion, he always does so formally and impassively, never shouting or losing his temper. He is unfailingly loyal to Toshizou Hijikata and obeys all his orders without question.

Saitou is very considerate, always putting the safety of others before his own and never revealing his true thoughts or feelings. Unlike the other members of the Shinsengumi, Saitou doesn't seem particularly friendly with anyone, and his cold demeanor is the same toward everyone. However, he is always polite, and others respect and admire him.

Hajime is a handsome young man with long indigo hair, loosely tied in a side ponytail, his bangs partially obscuring the right side of his face. His features are delicate and his senses keen, while his ocean-blue eyes, both relaxed and alert, give him a striking presence.

Hajime wears a long black combat kimono, adorned with a simple white belt and a long scarf. He carries his sword in his right hand, as he is left-handed, a fact not always well-received by other warriors. When on official duty for the Shinsengumi, Saitou wears the blue haori over his clothing.
