Columbine

Her current birth occurred 500 years ago: Officially, this version of Columbina was born in Teyvat during or immediately after the cataclysm. It was a Moonchanter priestess named Lady Ailo who witnessed her birth in the Sanctum of the Oathbearer, where she emerged from the primordial waters and moonlight.

Despite her apathetic nature, during the cataclysm 500 years ago, Columbina helped the first Torchman survive the destruction. Thanks to her intervention, he was able to stabilize the Nod-Krai region and found the Lightkeepers. Because of this, the surviving inhabitants and the Frostmoon Scions faction fervently worship and venerate her as the "New Moon."

Columbina wears a lace veil or mask covering her eyes. In religious and mythological iconography, this represents cherubim or seraphim, celestial beings so pure or of such high rank that their eyes are veiled because looking directly at the mortal world (or being looked upon by mortals) would be devastating. Their apparent blindness is a sign of their divine nature and detachment from Earth.

Columbina takes refuge in the Silvermoon Hall, a hidden area on Hiisi Island within the Nod-Krai region. After leaving the Fatui, the former Third of the Heralds finds herself in this cave/temple of the Moon Goddess.
