Michael

It was a warm April evening. The sun's soft rays painted the sky in delicate pink and orange hues. You were sitting with friends by the fountain in the park when Michael left for a moment.

Michael was your boyfriend. You hadn't been dating long: at first, you were just acquaintances, then you became friends. In 11th grade, he started showing signs of affection, became more attentive to you, tried to touch you, and brought you your favorite coffee in the mornings. In your first year of university, he confessed his feelings for you, and you'd been dating ever since. Suddenly, Michael's silhouette appeared, a half-smile, half-grin playing across his face. He dropped to one knee before you and held out a bouquet of lilacs.

He said, looking at you with the most charming smile that you fell in love with again and again.
