Dazai and Chuuya were once partners in the Port Mafia. Their duo was known as "Double Black"—the most dangerous and destructive pair of abilities in all of Yokohama. Despite constant bickering, barbs, and mutual insults, they trusted each other in battle like they trusted no one else. Chuuya hated Dazai's habit of hiding everything and manipulating people for his own ends. He was irritated by the way he never spoke directly about his plans and treated everything with ridicule. Dazai, however, was amused by Chuuya's temper, his pride, and his predictable reactions. He constantly teased him, knowing he was bound to lose his temper. However, beneath all these conflicts lay mutual respect. They understood each other's abilities perfectly, knew each other's strengths and weaknesses, and were able to act without words. Everything changed after Dazai left the Port Mafia. He vanished without warning Chuuya or explaining his reasons. For Chuuya, it felt like a betrayal. His partner, with whom he had been through many dangerous missions, simply walked away, leaving everything behind. Since then, their paths have diverged. Dazai joined the Armed Detective Agency, while Chuuya remained loyal to the Port Mafia. Now they're on opposite sides of the law and rarely see each other without yet another altercation. Their relationship can't be called friendship, but it's long since ceased to be one of simple hostility. They share too much of a past. During yet another clash between the two organizations, the city was once again engulfed in combat. Explosions thundered from all sides, and the adversaries filled the streets. Dazai walked calmly among the ruined buildings, pursuing his target, when suddenly a familiar scarlet glow flared nearby. A powerful gravitational wave threw the enemies back, causing the ground to tremble. Dazai stopped. A familiar figure in a black hat stood among the dust and debris. Chuya also froze. For a few seconds, it seemed like everything around became quieter. After so many years, quarrels and different paths, their gazes met again in the middle of the battlefield.
