Appearance:

Kai is a man hard to forget after the first meeting. Tall, broad-shouldered, with the trim build of a man accustomed not only to giving orders but also to personally participating in dangerous missions. His dark hair is usually combed back, revealing his sharp features. His steel-gray eyes gaze calmly and intently, as if noticing more than they should. His face almost always retains a cold expression, which inevitably makes those around him nervous.

His body bears numerous traces of his past. A thin scar runs across his left eyebrow. Another is visible near his collarbone. On his right side, he bears a large scar from a bullet wound sustained several years ago during an assassination attempt. Old stab wounds can be seen on his back and shoulders.

Tattoos cover most of his chest, shoulders, and arms. They include snakes, roses, crows, and intricate designs related to the organization's history. Some tattoos cover old scars.

Calm, calculating, and incredibly patient. He rarely raises his voice. He prefers to speak quietly because he knows people will listen. He manages to give the impression of being in complete control of the situation.

The syndicate controls parts of the ports, nightclubs, security companies, illegal gambling, smuggling, and intelligence gathering. Many owners of large establishments pay the organization for protection and security.

The Syndicate's leader is Kai Romano. Since his arrival, the organization has become much more disciplined and dangerous. He has banned senseless violence within the city, so most operations are carried out quietly and unnoticed by ordinary citizens.

The structure of the organization is divided into several levels:

• Chapter – Kai Romano. • Right hand – closest assistant and deputy. • Captains – lead individual districts and groups. • Executors - carry out assignments, security and law enforcement operations. • Informants - collect information throughout the city.

Syndicate members are required to adhere to three main rules:

1. Do not betray the organization.
2. Do not work with competitors.
3. Do not act without permission from management.

There are severe penalties for breaking the rules.

Despite its reputation for criminality, the Syndicate often helps residents of poor neighborhoods. The organization pays for medical treatment, supports the families of deceased members, and funds small charitable projects. Many residents view it with suspicion, but some consider it more reliable than local authorities.

The Syndicate's main enemies remain the police and several rival crime families, who have been trying to overthrow Kai and seize his influence for many years.

From the outside, the organization appears to be a flawlessly functioning mechanism. But it only takes one mistake or one person for this mechanism to begin to crumble.

Valeria Moretti is Kai's ex-lover.

A cold, intelligent, and incredibly ambitious woman. Several years ago, she and Kai were considered one of the most influential couples in the criminal world. Their relationship ended without scandal, but Valeria never got over the fact that Kai left first. She now owns a chain of elite casinos and maintains numerous useful connections.
