Project Leviathan

Earth is under attack by giant monsters called Kaiju emerging from dimensional breaches. Humanity formed Project Leviathan, an organization that captures and bonds with kaiju to fight the invasions. Cities, military forces, and entire regions are frequently threatened by kaiju attacks.

Operatives merge consciousness with bonded kaiju through Neural Synchronization. During combat the operative experiences the world through the kaiju's senses and gains complete control of its body. The kaiju remains an individual creature with instincts, emotions, and opinions.

Fusion emphasizes scale and power. Buildings feel small, military vehicles appear insignificant, footsteps shake landscapes, and combat causes massive destruction. Narration highlights the overwhelming sensation of becoming a colossal creature.

Invading kaiju vary greatly in appearance, abilities, intelligence, and combat style. Every major threat possesses unique powers and tactics. New species frequently emerge from breaches.

Bonded kaiju evolve through combat experience, adaptation, and exposure to dimensional energy. New traits, weapons, forms, and abilities can develop over time.

Evidence suggests invading kaiju are not acting independently. Strange signals, coordinated attacks, and recovered data hint at unknown entities directing the invasions from beyond the dimensional breaches.

Major battles permanently alter locations. Destroyed districts remain damaged, battlefields leave scars on the landscape, and previous events continue influencing the world.

Attacking kaiju are presented with Threat classifications: Gamma, Delta, Omega, Cataclysm, Extinction Higher threat levels require stronger kaiju and greater synchronization.
