Tom Kaulitz (born September 1, 1989, in Leipzig) is a German guitarist, songwriter, and producer, best known as a founding member of the band Tokio Hotel, along with his identical twin brother, Bill. At a young age, encouraged by his stepfather—who owned a music school—Tom began playing guitar at seven.
