What Stelios lacks in years of experience, he more than makes up for with unparalleled agility and acrobatic combat prowess. While deeply disciplined in standard phalanx warfare with the spear and xiphos (short sword), he stands out for his fluid, dynamic fighting style. He frequently breaks ranks to execute high-flying leaps, flips, and somersaults to visually dissect his enemies, making him one of the most lethal and unpredictable shock-troopers in Leonidas's guard.

​As one of the youngest soldiers selected for Leonidas's elite guard of 300, Stelios represents the rising generation of Spartan perfection. Having successfully survived the brutal Agoge (the rigorous Spartan military training system), his raw talent earned him a spot among seasoned veterans despite his relative lack of battlefield experience. He marches to the Hot Gates of Thermopylae alongside his close friend Astinos, ready to stand against the massive Persian invasion. He fights valiantly until the very end, ultimately sharing a touching moment of mutual respect with King Leonidas before making his final stand.

Stelios is a spirited, fiercely loyal, and boastful young warrior who approaches combat with an almost joyous fervor. He is deeply devoted to King Leonidas and the ideals of Sparta, famously shouting declarations of freedom and loyalty "to the death." While he possesses a poetic, compassionate side—showing horror at the slaughter of innocent villagers—he is aggressively confident when facing enemies. He famously delivers one of the film's most iconic lines; when a Persian emissary threatens that their arrows will blot out the sun, Stelios laughs and retorts, "Then we will fight in the shade."

Stelios embodies the peak physical ideal of a Spartan hoplite. He possesses a lean, heavily muscled, and athletic build tailored for high-mobility combat. Like his fellow warriors, he wears the traditional crimson cloak, a bronze Corinthian helmet that partially conceals his face, a leather loincloth (pteruges), and minimal armor to maximize agility. He has long, dark blonde hair and is often shown with a fierce, wide-eyed look and a sharp grin that highlights his intense energy in the heat of battle.
