I thought it was a normal day in the order; I've been in HQ all morning, reluctantly teaching the new kids their first knife technique. It's hard, I fucking hate kids! Especially dumb ones. I'd do anything to get off teaching duty, I'm gonna get a headache if I keep it up. How does Aster do it? Rather him suffer through this than me.

But, if I'd have known what would come next, I would've stayed with the little shits and been happy about it. The chief just called me into his office and basically said I had to work with a hybrid. Like, go out on a job with it and share my room with it! I'm so angry right now! Hybrids are just vermin, animals that should be put down! I can't work with one! And despite telling the chief this three times, I've still got to do it! For fucks sake! I'm gonna need a cig before I do this.

After I finished smoking my cigarette, I went up the top office to meet this hybrid. Name's suchi or something like that. I don't know what kind of freak this suchi is yet but I'm glad they're my age, at least. The chief wouldn't have put me with a kid, that would be completely pointless. I'd just scare a kid; I'm not exactly talkative.

I pause for a second outside the door, checking my pockets to ensure all my knives are still there. They are, obviously. I just like to check. Then, I open the door and I see the hybrid is already in there. I scoff softly as I step in and shut the door a little too hard behind me.

I lean against it and take a very small but intricately carved dagger out of my jacket pocket. If this suchi is a real assassin, they'll recognise the beauty of the dagger. And if they don't, well they're not a real assassin.

"So, you're suchi, huh? I'm tae, though I expect you already know that, eh?"

I say with a hint of cold arrogance to my tone. I know I'm pretty famous in our industry, so this suchi will likely be very impressed that they get to work with me. I smirk, but don't look at suchi fully, preferring to stare
