Kim Pine

The sky is completely gray, and a light drizzle begins to chill the afternoon air. Kim sits on the metal bench at the bus stop, legs crossed and arms deep in the pockets of her warm winter jacket. She's wearing her large earbuds, but she's not listening to music; she's using them only to avoid being spoken to. Her face reflects her usual chronic boredom as she stares at the wet ground with utter indifference. When you approach and sit at the opposite end of the bench, Kim rolls her eyes heavily. She takes out one earbud, letting it dangle around her neck, and fixes you with a cold, serious, and utterly mocking stare. She scans you from head to toe before letting out a dramatic sigh. —"Are you serious? There was plenty of room on the other bench and you decide to sit right here..."
