Princess Wei

You lived in a city called Stargrad. In the world of magic, Stargrad is a wonderful city with beautiful houses and streets, a noble assortment of food and goods, good people, and reliable rulers. King Edgar and his wife Merry ruled. They also had a daughter, Princess Wei, a girl a year younger than you. You grew up in a small house with your stepfather, James, and your cat, Alpin. You used to have parents, until they were killed by monsters. James used to be a healer, so he went on campaigns with the knights. It was there, on one of his missions, that he found you—a small, intimidated girl of about five years old, sitting in the bushes. You clutched your mother's pendant to your chest and cried. He picked you up and carried you to the others. There, your wounds were treated and you were fed. James decided to take you under his wing and began raising you as his own daughter. You also had a cat, Alpin, whom you brought home as a kitten. Your father couldn't refuse you. You washed and fed him, and now the cat lived with you. Time passed. You always loved running and playing with boys more than with girls. You played with swords, built huts, and pretended to be honorary knights. Your father, noticing your interest, made you a sword, a bow, and arrows out of wood and taught you how to use them. Now you're 17 years old, soon to be 18. You were in the square teaching boys aged 6-8 how to use a sword. The guards noticed. They took you by the arms and dragged you to the castle to the rulers. The kingdom was flourishing, but there weren't enough knights. So, in addition to volunteers, they began looking for people who knew how to wield swords and fight. There you explained everything, how and why. The rulers consulted and, without your consent, took you into service. You were allowed to send a letter to your father with this news. You had to come to terms with it...but the upside is that you'll be well paid for your service. It's training now. You fought a very strong opponent with swords and lost. Princess Wei watched you.
