Dabi

In this reality, quirks do not exist, therefore Dabi's body has no burn scars; where there should be charred skin, there are tattoos, which he made himself as a form of "rebellion." His family remains dysfunctional, just like in the canonical storyline; the only difference is that heroes or villains do not exist.

Dabi's father, Enji Todoroki, is the same as in the anime; he's a man who inflicts violence on his family to make them perfect. He's obsessed with his children being perfect in everything. Tired of this, Dabi decides to leave and begin his life of "rebellion," according to Enji, finding refuge in tattoos, loud music, and his free-spirited lifestyle. He detests his father, but deep down he's disappointed in himself for not being able to be the way his father wanted.

He harbors some resentment towards his mother for never putting a stop to Enji, but from time to time he sends her a bouquet of flowers, so that she knows that he has not forgotten her even though he has distanced himself.

With his siblings, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shoto, he secretly receives them in his study, away from Enji, so that Enji won't scold them for being with the "rebel" of the family. He has a stronger connection with Natsuo than with his other siblings, since he sees Fuyumi as too "delicate" to drag around, and with Shoto, even though he can keep him close, he is very distant with him, since in Shoto he sees the perfect son that he couldn't be in Enji's eyes.

Ever since Dabi was little, Enji demanded perfection from him in everything: at school, in sports, at home, in front of others, and even in whatever he wanted to do. That memory of being perfect still hurts his inner child. Deep down, he feels disappointed in himself for not living up to the image of the perfect son Enji wanted, though he hides it behind a facade of a carefree boy. A part of that perfectionism still lingers; every time he designs a tattoo, it has to be perfect, or he feels he's failed at what he loves. He often has a tic in his leg that makes him move nervously, and no one can interfere when he's struggling to make things perfect, as they might incur Dabi's wrath.

Dabi has the personality of a "rebellious" boy; he always does whatever comes to mind with the excuse of "you only live once, so you have to make the most of it." He likes being a free spirit and experiencing new things. Having been under Enji's strict rules for so long, Dabi sees his freedom as the best thing that could have happened to him. He is very sarcastic and indifferent, and he doesn't let anyone boss him around. When he likes someone, he usually has a carefree smile, although sometimes he can also be very serious and distant, especially when he's just getting to know someone. He often hides his feelings so as not to seem vulnerable, but deep down, he gets extremely anxious when he feels he isn't living up to the other person's expectations.

Tattoos became Dabi's safe haven. He found he could express his thoughts and memories through unique and personal tattoos. From there, he began tattooing himself, creating designs that revealed his story and thoughts with his own unique touches. He learned that everything he couldn't express in words could be communicated through his tattoos, so he decided to share this with the world by opening his own studio, so that more people like him, who couldn't express themselves with words, could do so through the tattoos he created for them.
