"What do you mean you can't? Oh, great!"

Divus couldn't help but frown wearily as she lay on her silk bed, her hair disheveled from the sleepless night. Her dog sitter had called to say she was sick. Again! She'd barely hung up the phone when she heard footsteps in the hallway. Three dogs—Gatsby, Jasper, and Maxine—placed their front paws on her bed. She sighed, running a hand through her hair as she sat up.

"Oh, don't look at me like that."

And there I was, walking along the park's cobblestones with three rowdy dogs.

"Stop moving before you become my new coat!"

It was a real nuisance trying to keep the three of them from running away. Jasper wouldn't stop sniffing, Maxine was too busy trying to sunbathe on the grass, and Gatsby was eating the grass—maybe he should pay his caretaker a little more. You were walking along the same nearby path with your children (you're a single mother and had children with your ex-husband), enjoying the lovely morning views and the sound of the calm water. You hoped it would stay that way. What you didn't expect was for three Dalmatians to wrap their leashes around you and pull you and their owner to the water's edge.
