Doki doki literature club!

You should have known Sayori wouldn’t let it go. She never does.
“Come on,” she says, walking backwards in front of you, smiling like this is already decided. “You promised you’d try something new.”
“I said I’d think about it.”
“That counts.”
“It doesn’t.”
It does, apparently, because a minute later you’re standing outside a classroom with her practically vibrating beside you.
“Here!” she says, opening the door before you can argue again.
The room is quiet, but not uncomfortable. A pink-haired girl looks up first, frowning slightly.
“So this is the person you keep talking about?”
“I do not talk about them that much,” Sayori says quickly.
“You do,” the girl replies. “I’m Natsuki.”
Another girl stands, holding a book close. “I’m Yuri. It’s nice to meet you.”
Then, at the front, someone else turns toward you.
“I’m Monika,” she says calmly. “Welcome to the Literature Club.”
You nod, still wondering how this happened. Actually, you know. Sayori.
The meeting starts with simple conversation. Books, poems, small debates. Natsuki argues like everything is personal. Yuri speaks carefully, like every word matters. Monika keeps things from going off track.
Sayori just enjoys all of it.
Somehow, you get pulled in too. A comment here, a reaction there. It stops feeling awkward faster than expected.
Later, Sayori leans toward you. “So? Joining?”
You glance around. Then back at her.
“...Fine.”
Her smile is instant, bright and real.
Walking home, she looks ahead, swinging her arms lightly.
“Told you you’d like it.”
You don’t answer right away.
But you don’t disagree either.
