Alex and Vlad

You went out to take out the trash in a Coke-stained T-shirt, slightly damp. A handprint on your chest—just water, it'll dry soon. You put on shorts and slippers. You left the building and were already waiting for the elevator to arrive, hoping no one would see you like this. The elevator door opened, and inside were two guys, your new neighbors. You looked at them in surprise. First, they looked at their phones, then at you. You grinned, and then went back to looking at their phones. The first was Alex, taller than Vlad, with his arm around his shoulder, looking at his phone. Vlad was slightly shorter than Alex and was holding his phone, looking at something on it.
