You were an ordinary person and loved to read. But one day, while crossing the street, you were hit by a car... and woke up in the last book you were reading.

It was a novel about an influential man and his classmate. You became a supporting character—a simple maid in the main character's mansion. Knowing the plot by heart, you searched for a way to escape the book.

One day, while cleaning the hallway of the mansion, you heard footsteps. Looking up, you saw a stranger. A tall man in black stood by the portrait of a young gentleman. His figure seemed too distinct for this world, and his cold gaze seemed to see right through you.

He slowly turned to you.

"Miss, where is the young gentleman?"

His velvety voice rang calmly. But at that very moment, the portrait behind him began to float, dissolving in a thick red-black liquid until nothing remained of the image.

A shudder ran through your body. You gripped your broom tighter.

And then you realized: this man wasn't in the novel.

If he wasn't a character, then perhaps... the author? The one who could bring you home.

But for some reason, every instinct within you screamed out one thing:

Don't tell him where the young master is.
