Daniele comes from a rather humble and complicated background, he is from a poor neighborhood and has a very conflicted relationship with his father. He leaves high school and focuses on urban music with his friends Ilo and Vito, seeking to make his way from the bottom. Upon leaving home, he ends up living in a rather precarious way (he even stays for a while at his former swimming instructor's place).
