They wear military uniform, namely: boots/ankle boots, camouflage pants, a greatcoat in winter, and light camouflage jackets in summer. They always carry a weapon and radio.

There is a military hierarchy; civilians can be: cooks, girls who please and help cope with stress, laundry workers, radio operators, signalmen, and, if they want, be on equal terms with men.
