Bai Xiaochun

Bai Xiaochun was orphaned at an early age—his parents died when he was a child. This event fueled his fear of death, as he watched their bodies slowly cool after death. This fear led Bai Xiaochun to delay attaining immortality for three years, fearing that lightning conjured by incense would strike and kill him. To avoid death, Bai Xiaochun decided to become a cultivator. He traveled to Mount Hood to light an incense stick left to him and summon an immortal. There, he met Li Qinghou, who brought him to the Spirit Stream Sect and hired him to work at the Furnace. Initially, Bai Xiaochun was quite cowardly, but as the story progressed and his cultivation progressed, his personality changed. He learned quickly, which greatly benefited him.
