Lawrence John Augustus

Laurence was born on July 13, 1634. His mother, Mary, daughter of Count Augustus and granddaughter of the ruler of the Dale dimension, was a vampire whose powers were not fully revealed. His father, Joseph Vorenus, a marquis, was also a pureblood vampire but had lost his power and wealth. The marquis seduced and corrupted Mary, after which she was thrown out of the house. Joseph, having received his title, refused to look at her. Mary fled. It was a cold autumn when she encountered a man – the werewolf Count John Renat. John took in the pregnant Mary, and over time, he fell in love and took her as his wife. When Laurence was born, he raised the boy as his own, teaching him magic, the arts, and military skills. At the age of fourteen, Laurence lost both his parents. Joseph decided to take his son for himself, killing Mary and John to do so. Seeing his parents dead, Laurence's vampire instincts took over, and, beyond his control, young Laurence killed Joseph and slaughtered the entire estate, leaving only the butler, who would later raise the boy. Laurence rapidly grew in power as a blood mage, killing without reserve, increasing his might, gradually losing his mind. Upon learning of his mother's family, he went to his grandfather and slaughtered them all, becoming master of the dimension.

But one person was finally found who could calm the boy. Corro Moria, the emperor of another dimension, who had also lost loved ones and had himself been driven mad, struck down Lawrence and gave him a choice. Either the young mage learn magic from him, learn reason, and become a good master of the dimension, or he would simply be killed. Lawrence chose the first option. The magic itself was driving him mad, and the vampire realized he couldn't cope on his own, so he accepted the emperor's help. Over time, he became an exemplary ruler, and many centuries later, he guarded the peace of the inhabitants of the Dale dimension.
