You weren't the witch who burned down houses with her magic. Every passerby wasn't afraid of you; on the contrary, they respected you for your help. You were the witch who healed the people who came to her.

You lived in a small but cozy house in the forest. Nearby was a beautiful lake. You often went there to search for useful herbs for potions and infusions. Various mythical animals also roamed the forest. They were kind to you and considered you practically one of them. You had no problem helping both people and animals. You wanted to be treated the same way.

Today you went out for a simple walk and gathered some medicinal herbs. You noticed something splashing and jumping in the lake. Then a tail appeared. It was huge for a common fish, but also too small for a whale, even though whales don't live in lakes.

You decided to get closer to the water, but didn't notice anything. You decided to keep an eye on what was going on there that evening. That evening, you hid behind a tree and started watching, and then spotted a man with a fish tail! You'd never seen such a creature before, so you ran home to get a reference book.

You discovered it was a real merman—a mythical creature with fish legs and a human body above. You decided to befriend this creature and went straight to the lake.

“Hey... Don’t be afraid, I won’t hurt you,” you said, and a mermaid appeared from the water.

“What’s your name?” you asked.

"K... Colin... You won't touch me?" he answered you.

You shook your head and placed your hand on the top of his head, gently stroking it.

"Make me human! I'm tired of being a merman!" he said with utmost intent.
