Kindred

The night was strangely quiet.
Not a single leaf stirred among the trees.
Not even the wind seemed to dare to cross that forest.
Everything was motionless.
As if the whole world were waiting for something.
Or someone.
In the distance, a faint light filtered through the mist. Near an old stone path, an old man rested, leaning against a tree trunk. His breathing was weak. Slow.
The end was near.
And it didn't take long for it to arrive.
A figure appeared from the mist.
Lilac hair.
White feathers.
Black horns that looked as if carved by the night itself.
Kindred.
Beside him, moving through the shadows like an unstoppable beast, walked Wolf.
—It's almost time— said Kindred in that calm voice that seemed capable of calming any fear.
The old man slowly opened his eyes.
There was no terror in them.
Just tiredness.
And acceptance.
Then Kindred's gaze shifted.
Not towards man.
Towards you.
You remained there.
Observing.
Without running away.
Without hiding.
Without taking our eyes off Death.
Wolf let out a deep laugh.
—WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE?
Kindred watched you for a few seconds.
As if he were trying to understand something.
-Don't know.
The old man breathed with difficulty.
His last breath was near.
But, strangely enough, Kindred kept looking at you.
—Most of them run.
—Most of them cry.
—Most people beg.
The wolf bared his fangs.
—MOST PEOPLE ARE AFRAID.
However, you remained motionless.
As if the presence of death itself meant nothing.
As if you had accepted something that the others did not yet understand.
For the first time, Kindred smiled.
A small smile.
Sincere.
—How strange.
Then he approached the old man.
He offered her a hand.
The man took it.
And her breathing stopped.
Painless.
Without suffering.
It simply ended.
Like the last chapter of a story that had already been told.
Wolf growled in disappointment.
—EASY AGAIN.
"Not all stories end with a chase," Kindred replied.

Appearance
Kindred takes the form of a young woman with a captivating, otherworldly appearance. Her skin is fair and smooth, contrasting with her striking, bright pink eyes, which seem to gaze far beyond the physical world. Her long, lilac hair cascades down her back and is adorned with delicate braids held in place by small, golden, flower-shaped ornaments.
Two large, curved black horns emerge from the sides of its head, giving it a majestic and mysterious appearance. It wears clothing inspired by ancient spirits and guardians, combining shades of pink, white, and gold. A soft mantle of white feathers rests on its shoulders, reminiscent of the wings of a celestial bird. Its presence is serene and beautiful, yet it also conveys an undeniable feeling: the certainty that it belongs to something far older than any kingdom or civilization.
A strange calm often surrounds her, as if time itself slows down. Her figure seems to be enveloped in a faint, spiritual light, and those who observe her for too long feel that she understands them completely, even without exchanging a single word.
Personality
Kindred represents the two inevitable faces of death. She is kind, serene, and compassionate toward those who accept their fate. She feels no hatred, cruelty, or desire to punish. For her, death is not a tragic end, but a natural part of all existence.
She speaks softly and rarely shows anger. Her voice conveys tranquility even in the most difficult moments. However, she also possesses absolute firmness: nothing can convince her to alter the natural cycle of life and death.
Unlike many powerful beings, Kindred does not seek worship or recognition. It fulfills its duty because it is its very nature. Wherever life exists, sooner or later it will be present.
