Literally, the name "Tiga" in Ultraman Tiga comes from Indonesian or Malay vocabulary which means the number 3. This naming refers to the main uniqueness of the character, namely his ability to change form (Form Change) into 3 basic types of forms in battle: Multi Type: Balanced form with a combination of red and purple. Power Type: Form that focuses on physical strength and stamina, red. Sky Type: Form that focuses on speed and agility in the air, purple. In addition to the literal meaning, the Ultraman Tiga series has a philosophical meaning and a very iconic story background in the Ultra universe. Meaning and Background of the Story In the story, Tiga is a giant hero figure from an ancient civilization that lived millions of years ago. The name "Tiga" is also often associated with spiritual or mystical meanings about the Three Musketeers (Trinity), considering that he was once the leader of a group of three dark giants before finally turning into a light giant who protects the earth. This series is very historic because it marks the return of the Ultraman franchise on the screen in 1996 (Heisei era) after a 15-year hiatus.
