Macht is typically passive, cold, and indifferent. As is common among demons, he is highly individualistic and asocial, but he doesn't seem enthusiastic about killing humans or participating in battles. This is due to the immense power of his magic, which makes most of the fights he engages in seem mundane, as he can end them at any time. Furthermore, he is incapable of understanding certain concepts, such as evil and justice, as well as certain emotions, such as guilt and malice. Macht also doesn't seem to grasp the concept of morality, as evidenced by the fact that he doesn't understand why killing other humans would prevent coexistence with them. He possesses no loyalty or solidarity with other demons or the Demon King; he even refused to aid Schlacht in the crucial battle against the Hero of the South and killed a former demon acquaintance without showing any hesitation or remorse.

Macht specifically detests conflict. Due to his powerful magic, he finds battles unappealing, but according to Schlacht, he has also long detested battles and conflict. Macht acts in accordance with his aversion to conflict. For example, in the Golden Land, he impaled the corpses of intruders before transmuting them into gold as a threat to future intruders, claiming that most humans would flee at the sight. Consequently, Macht is dismayed by reckless and imprudent individuals, which is how he describes those who dare to challenge him, such as Lernen and Wahrheit, individuals who are not intimidated by the threat he poses. However, although he is a moderate among demons, Macht does not detest conflict out of a moral aversion to violence and murder, and only seems to detest battle and combat as an activity.

Although usually apathetic, Macht can be surprisingly capricious, often describing his actions as the result of a sudden impulse. He didn't turn all the settlements into gold.

Macht has long, red hair without bangs, and two long, curved horns growing from his temples. His eyes are blue, and he has pronounced dark circles under them, giving him a tired and listless appearance.

He wears a dark green, high-collared shirt that reaches his knees and three gold bracelets with tassels on his right arm. Currently, he wears the Stone Bracelet of Servitude on his right hand, tucked under his sleeves. His shirt has a gold tassel that extends from his left shoulder to his chest. Macht also wears red gloves.

Macht wears a large blue coat draped over his left shoulder. This garment serves as a weapon in combat, as he can transform it into gold and then return it to its original form. He often transforms it into a greatsword for use in battle. He can also turn it into gold to use as a shield.

Macht is an incredibly powerful demon, considered the strongest among the Seven Sages of Destruction. According to Serie, Macht possessed enough power to transmute the entire Northern Plateau into gold if he so desired. He was one of the mages who defeated Frieren in the past, and Frieren, in the present, still cannot imagine defeating him. Even the Great Demon Solitär has stated that she fears facing him.

Physical Strength: Macht is an extremely powerful fighter with immense physical strength. Despite being a mage, he usually prefers to fight with a two-handed sword forged with his magic. His strength and agility in combat are so overwhelming that he can instantly annihilate a group of experienced demon warriors, including a top-tier mage. He broke Lernen's defensive magic seemingly with his physical strength alone. Furthermore, he effortlessly defeated a horde of the Demon King's forces led by Demon General Schräg the Lightning without resorting to Diagoldze.

Mana Detection: Macht possesses incredibly accurate mana detection, and Frieren states that even she could not easily evade it. Her mana detection encompasses the entire transmuted Golden Earth, making it nearly impossible for any intruder to escape her detection. She easily detected both Lernen and Edel, who are experts at concealment and mana concealment. Only Serie, a Great Mage, was able to evade her detection, possibly due to her greater mastery of mana concealment, honed over many centuries.

Immense Mana Production: As a Greater Demon who has lived for at least six hundred years, Macht possesses a colossal amount of mana. He claims that he could fight Denken while countering Mistilziela for three days and three nights.

Characteristics of Mana: Although it is never explicitly stated that Macht does not emit mana (and it has been noted that no living creature with mana can completely extinguish it), due to the nature of his magic—Diagoldze—Macht's mana remains undetectable despite his constant use of it to expand the reach of the Golden Land. The stark contrast between witnessing a vast area magically transmuted into gold and yet not sensing the resulting mana is precisely why most mages find both the Golden Land and Macht himself extremely perplexing. This phenomenon may also contribute to errors in mana detection near the region consumed by the Golden Land.

Spell to Transmute All of Creation into Gold: Diagoldze: Macht's signature spell, a curse that transforms anything in the material world into gold. It is considered the most powerful curse, one that could not be dispelled even with Goddess Magic. As a curse, it is imperceptible as magic and, therefore, almost impossible to defend against or evade. [4] The gold it creates is also virtually indestructible and unmalleable; when identified by magic, it registers as gold, but of a completely different material than naturally occurring gold. Diagoldze requires no special conditions or activation mechanisms. It does not require Macht to make physical contact with the desired target, and it appears capable of being used remotely at an incredible range, bypassing even the magical barrier used to seal it. However, direct contact seems to be more natural and convenient for Macht to activate the curse. [22] [note 1] This magic is so overwhelmingly powerful that Macht himself deliberately avoids using it directly against his opponents because it makes most battles too mundane for his liking. Macht can freely adjust the speed at which he deploys Diagoldze. He can turn things to gold almost instantly, as demonstrated with his sword and the Fortified City of Weise, but also gradually, as when he spoke his last words to Glück.

Reverse Transmutation: It's important to note that transmuting material into gold and recreating it from gold are distinct actions. Macht is able to undo the gold transmutation on his own body and on the coat he uses as a weapon, but he cannot return the people he turned to gold to normal. According to Serie, this is because he is a "monster who doesn't understand humans" and therefore cannot imagine himself creating a human from gold. Consequently, for Macht, using Diagoldze and killing are equivalent.

Weapon Creation: With his magic, Macht can create a multitude of golden weapons for use in combat. His preferred weapon appears to be a large sword that he pulls from his coat for battle, while for defense, he can transform the coat into gold to create an indestructible shield. He is also seen transforming the coat into a magic staff to control golden debris, which he uses as enormous and deadly spears. Macht also uses his magic to create unconventional weapons, such as when he plucks three strands from his long hair and transmutes them into golden needles, which he uses as projectiles against Denken.

Golden Debris: By piercing the ground with his transformed staff, Macht turns the rubble into a vast swarm of golden fragments that he can freely manipulate for both attack and defense. This swarm is powerful enough to easily pierce through the mages' defensive spells, and Denken believes it far surpasses the realm of offensive magic.

Human Magic: Unlike most demons, Macht is capable of using many forms of human magic, which he learned during his visit with Solitär, who was studying human magic. His mastery is sufficient to train a highly successful Imperial mage.

Defensive magic: Macht is capable of using defensive magic developed by humans, which he demonstrated both in his confrontation with Serie and in his battle against Denken.

Offensive Magic: Zoltraak: Macht is able to use Zoltraak skillfully, stating that it was a great offensive magic created by an old friend of his.
