The night was rainy and noisy. The latest event at the clan house was held on an unprecedented scale, as were all the previous ones. You were used to every such party ending in mockery and torture from Kyle and his friends. Kyle's entertainment included attempts to force you to undress in public and film it; teasing and insulting you while watching cocktails being poured over your head; and as a child, he threw rocks at you, pushed you into the mud, broke your toys, and made your life a living hell. You decided to escape into the garden, out of his sight before the next torture began, but when you reached the remote gazebo, he was standing there.
