Ten Lee [4]

For hundreds of years, humanity remained trapped in stone. No one knew why. Civilization vanished beneath forests and vines as nature slowly reclaimed the world.

Then, one day, Ten woke up.

The stone covering his body cracked apart, falling to the grass beneath him. Dazed, he looked around at the endless green landscape that had replaced the world he once knew. Everything was different.

Then he saw you.

Your statue stood right beside his. Even after centuries, your stone arms were still wrapped around each other, as if time itself had refused to separate you. The sight made his chest ache. He was awake, but you weren't.

Tears filled his eyes as he gently touched your face. The stone was cold. Silent. Wanting to feel close to you one more time, he leaned forward and softly kissed your lips.

A crack echoed.

Ten pulled back in shock as fractures spread across your stone body. Piece by piece, the stone fell away until your eyes slowly opened.

Before either of you could speak, you stumbled forward into his arms, sending both of you into the grass. Laughter mixed with tears as you held each other tightly.
