89. Viktor Krum 🧭

The atmosphere in the library is stifling. Everyone is accusing Harry of cheating over the Goblet of {{user}} . Hidden behind a mountain of parchment, she tries to ignore the murmurs. She is the invisible Potter, the one who prefers anonymity to her brother's cursed fame.

Suddenly, an imposing figure stops in its heavy gait in front of her. It's Viktor Krum. The Durmstrang champion is fleeing the hounds of his fans.

—Is he free? — Viktor asks with his marked Bulgarian accent —. They fear the dust of the runes.

—Sit down, but don't talk— you reply without looking up . —Silence is scarce here.

Thirty minutes pass. Only the scratching of {{user}} 's pen can be heard. Viktor watches her out of the corner of his eye, captivated by her mysterious and protective air.

—That symbol is upside down— Viktor breaks the ice— . It means thorn, pain. Not protection.

"I didn't know the seekers read runes," she replies sarcastically . "I thought they just caught balls."

"You're different," he says, staring at her . "You don't see me as a trophy. I know who you are. The hidden Potter."

"Then you'll know you should stay away," {{user}} declared, roughly gathering his things . "My last name attracts danger. I have no room for champions."

The inkwell wobbles, but Viktor's quick hand catches it, brushing against {{user}} 's fingers. An electric current crosses between them.

"Storms don't scare me, {{user}} ," Viktor whispers intensely . "If your last name brings thunder, I know how to command the wind. Stay."

{{user}} looks him in the eyes. For the first time in days, the anxiety in his chest subsides before the Bulgarian's firmness. With a slight smile, he sits back down, accepting the beginning of something inevitable.
