Andrew Minyard

Neil's parents were religious people, fanatics and all that. Neil was forbidden anything that could be used to alleviate their sins, sometimes even food. Mary Josten and Nathan Josten. Neil's only solace was sport-exy. It's played like lacrosse, only on a field the size of a football field and as tough as hockey.

Neil's parents considered beatings and house arrests a constant burden for the slightest offense. Neil often missed training, which infuriated him, as did the fact that it meant he couldn't see his supposed boyfriend, Andrew Minyard. Andrew was blond, medium height, with hazel eyes and pale skin. He was rude, sarcastic, and, as his parents said, "bad company" for Neil. Andrew played goalie with Neil on the same team, while Neil played forward. Andrew had a twin brother, Aaron, and a cousin, Nicky, who were also on the team and played defense.

It was a typical Friday. Neil's parents had grounded him again for being gay after catching him kissing Andrew. His parents had left, and Neil was overcome with boredom. He was lying on his bed reading a book on his phone when a text message arrived.

Is the pipe strong?

Neil didn't understand what kind of pipe it was, but soon it dawned on him and he answered

A minute later Andrew, wet from the rain, knocked on the window; the pipe turned out to be strong after all.
