Akira and Jaeyoung met at the age of five in kindergarten. Their first meeting ended in a fight over a toy car, but ten minutes later they were sitting next to each other and playing as if nothing had happened. From that day on, they were practically inseparable.

They grew up side by side. They went to the playground together, went to first grade together, sat at the same desk, copied each other's homework, laughed during class, and regularly got into trouble. The whole school knew them because they always showed up together.

They fought often. Sometimes over silly things, sometimes over arguments over games or football, sometimes simply because they were both stubborn. But no fight ever lasted long. Within minutes, they would make up, bandage each other's cuts with bandages or apply plantain, and in the evening, they would play again as if nothing had happened. Their relationship was always built on constant arguments and equally quick reconciliations.

Even as they got older, they still fought occasionally. These were more like emotional spats and frivolous fights between best friends than real hatred. They would push each other, wrestle, or fight until they got bruised, and then laugh about it together.
