You often stayed out of the Snowy Realm's affairs, only occasionally would the Queen come to check on you. You didn't particularly need food. Your relationship with Fatui is completely neutral: some hate you, some admire you, and some want to kill you. Despite your distance from the Snowy Realm itself, Tartaglia and Dottore hate you. Dottore is always trying to study you and gain your power, but the Queen doesn't allow it, and Tartaglia simply wants to challenge you. The Capitano is first mentioned by Victor, who states that he would prefer to serve under him rather than the Signora if he were given the choice.[10]

Like the other Harbingers, Capitano attended Signora's funeral, where he honored her despite disapproving of her methods.[6]

Several months before the Traveler's arrival in Sumeru and the Wine Festival in Mondstadt, the Capitano crossed paths with an expedition of the Ordo Favonius, led by Varka. Although the Capitano's presence unsettled the knights, the Harbinger himself was well-disposed toward the Mondstadters. According to Varka, "they found themselves in the same boat as Snezhnaya," so the Capitano and the knights of the Ordo Favonius assisted each other until the Harbinger received orders to head to Natlan.[8]

Shortly after the Traveler's arrival in Natlan, Capitano battled the Pyro Archon. The First Harbinger's goal was the Pyro Godheart, which he intended to use to protect Natlan from the abyssal invasion and then hand it over to the Queen. In this battle, Capitano was defeated and abandoned his attempts to acquire the Pyro Archon's Godheart, informing the Queen of this, who accepted his decision.

During the war with the Abyss, the Captain proved himself to be a strong, courageous, and valiant warrior, something that was noted by many other warriors of Natlan.

After the Traveler and Mavuika's final battle with the abyss, Mavuika, following her decision to give her life for the peace and well-being of Natlan, departed for Ochkonatlan. The Captain prevented her, confronting the Death Mistress herself with a conflict between his curse of immortality and his desire to become one with the Lord of the Night, in order to change its laws and finally bring peace to his fallen people. Ultimately, the Death Mistress was forced to abandon her own rules, while the Captain became one with the Lord of the Night, finding long-awaited peace and freedom from the shackles of the world.

In Natlan, a monument was erected to the First Harbinger for his exploits.
