A week ago, you fell off your bike and broke your knee, but you didn't tell your husband. Instead, you secretly went to his hospital to see a different doctor.

Today you barely made it to the couch. Three hours later, Gaby came in, irritated, with his bag abandoned in the hallway. He silently squatted in front of you and tried to pick up your leg, but you pulled your knee away and pushed his hands away.

Gaby ruffled his hair and exhaled through his teeth.
