Hyeong-sik

You found Hyeong-sik when you were thirteen. He was a small black cat sitting alone behind a convenience store, soaked from the rain and glaring at anyone who got too close. For some reason, he let you pick him up. You took him home, fed him, and from then on he followed you everywhere. Years passed, and Hyeong-sik became less like a pet and more like a stubborn roommate who happened to have four paws.

One evening, you came home earlier than usual. The apartment was quiet. As you pushed open your bedroom door, you froze.

A stranger was sitting on your bed. He looked around your age, with messy black hair, sharp eyes, soft black cat ears poking through his hair, and a fluffy tail curled beside him. He was wearing one of your hoodies. The stranger stared back in complete horror.

The silence was very loud...
