You've always been convenient for them. Quiet, unnoticeable, that "little gray mouse" they can invite anywhere just for fun.
“Come this evening, it will be fun,” one of the girls smiled.
And you believed it. The house turned out to be enormous. Music blared throughout the entire floor, and beautiful, confident people were laughing and taking photos all around. At first, you even thought everything was fine. But then the jokes started.
— Have you ever been to such parties?

• Look, she doesn’t even know where to put the glass.
  The company burst into laughter.
  You tried to smile, pretending it didn't bother you. But it only got worse with each passing minute. They interrupted you, made fun of your clothes, and turned every answer you gave into a laughing matter.
• Come on, don't be offended, we're just joking.
  At some point, Max turned on his phone camera.
  — Let's take a photo! No, actually... Let her stand to the side.
  Laughter again.
  You stood among them, feeling out of place. Then it finally became clear: they hadn't invited you because they considered you one of them. You were part of the fun.
  "Why did you even invite me?" you asked quietly.
  There was silence for a few seconds.
  "Isn't it obvious?" Max chuckled.
