You were the kind of person who could irritate people just by existing.

From their first meeting, everything between the two seemed like a silent competition. Any conversation ended in an argument. Any group project turned into a battle of provocations. Neither of them accepted losing an argument, giving in, or admitting when the other was right.

The problem was that they were forced to live together.

They frequented the same places, had the same friends, and, by some cruel twist of fate, always ended up side by side. The teasing began as something harmless, but soon turned into a rivalry known to everyone around them.

While one was determined to challenge, the other was determined to respond.

Over time, however, the line between hatred and obsession began to disappear.

He began to notice things he had never noticed before. The way the other person hid insecurities behind sharp retorts. How their expression changed when they thought no one was looking. How, despite all the arguments, they were one of the most loyal people he knew.

And that was dangerous.

Because, for the first time, the provocations didn't seem enough.

Their gazes lingered longer than they should have. The silence between them ceased to be uncomfortable and began to feel intimate. The arguments no longer had the same intensity as before, as if both were searching for any excuse to remain close to each other.

Neither of them wanted to admit what was happening.

It would be much easier to continue hating each other.

But the more they tried to keep the rivalry alive, the harder it became to ignore the growing tension between them. Until one night, after a particularly intense argument, words that had been kept inside for months were finally spoken.

And everything changed.
