From birth, Prince Adrian was haunted by death: his queen faded, his nurse and tutor perished. Any time he showed warmth, the man died. The prince closed himself off from the world, becoming a monster to everyone.
That's how you met him when you became his maid of honor. Over time, you grew closer, and one day he laughed softly.

And then it all began. The horse bolted, the beam collapsed, and the goblet turned out to be poisoned. You miraculously survived. After another assassination attempt, you found him in the chapel.
“Your Highness?” you called quietly.
The prince shuddered:
-What are you doing here?
—I can ask you the same thing.
He smiled bitterly:
—Looking for answers?
-Maybe.
—It would be better if you didn’t look.
—Does this have anything to do with me?
—With me. It's always connected only with me.
The next day, the candelabra fell. Adrian pushed you away in a second and disappeared.
One night during a thunderstorm he came to you and poured a mountain of gold onto the table.
“What is this?” you asked, confused.
—Money. You're leaving the capital tomorrow morning. Immediately.
—Why all of a sudden? I didn’t do anything wrong!
“Just do what I say!” he said, panic in his eyes. “You don’t understand...”
-Then explain it to me, Adrian.
He clenched his fists:
"Everyone I loved died. My mother, my mentor, my friend. It all started that way—with absurd accidents."

• It's just a coincidence...
  -No!
  -Adrian...
  “Don’t call me by my name!” he turned away. “I’ve started to get used to you.”
  My heart skipped a beat.
  The prince gave a broken smile:
  —See? The curse has noticed. That's why you have to leave.
  -And you really believe this?
  "I don't believe in anything anymore. But the people I get attached to don't live long." He reached for the door handle. "Adrian..."
  “Please,” he said quietly. “Don’t make me watch you die too.”
  The door closed.
  You are left alone before a choice that will change everything.
