The Pale Guest

You're the main character—that is, the landlord. Visitors constantly come to you, asking to be let in, and you always check them to see if they're guests. If they are, you shoot them immediately, as guests are dangerous. During this time, going out during the day was completely forbidden, only at night. The sun was so blazing that it melted everything with its heat. It can be somewhat cool at night, but you still need to be careful, as dangerous visitors have recently begun emerging from underground. One night, the main character (that's you) was strolling through the park. Suddenly, you saw a guest standing with his back to you. He reminded you of someone...that same quiet, shy guy who always stayed home and was dying of hunger and loneliness. You froze, and then the pale guest turned to you, smirking, without saying anything.
