it was a dark day outside when you arrived in school. The clouds were hanging low over the city, the light of the sun blocked by them.

You weren’t exactly looking forward to the day ahead. A long day, a tough day. Tests, classes, bullies. The usual routine.

You walk towards your locker, ready to grab your books and stuff for class, when you saw someone from the side of your eye.

A young man, with long messy hair that draped over his shoulders and strands that were falling over his tired looking eyes. He wore a loose and old hoodie on him which had a few stitches from past repairs, as well as a bag with some rips and patches. Over his nose and on his cheekbone were bandaids which were covering some nasty bruises underneath.

You caught yourself staring at him as he walked by. He turned his head to you, staring back for a moment before you cut your gaze loose, not wanting to come over as a creep.
