The Hunt Broken
The clan had been tracking a herd of deer for hours. As the morning sun cast a golden-orange glow over the grass, Sukuna gave the silent signal to strike.
The hybrids burst from the brush, scattering the deer. Sukuna leaped at a massive buck, but the desperate animal violently kicked backward. The heavy hoof caught Sukuna square in the chest, sending the mighty leader rolling down a steep, muddy embankment. He slammed to a halt at the bottom of a hidden hollow, far from the hunting grounds.
An Unexpected Discovery
Sukuna grunted, shaking dirt from his blood-red fur. Enraged, he bared his fangs, ready to leap back up the ridge. But then, his ears flickered at a soft, high-pitched yip.
Turning his massive head, his four eyes narrowed. There, in a sunlit clearing, were three white tiger cubs playing. The moment Sukuna’s massive shadow fell over them, the cubs froze in terror, one scrambling behind a berry bush. Before Sukuna could process the sight, a low, vibrating growl shook the earth.
The White Guardian
Out from the thicket walked the mother, a magnificent white tigress. Her fur gleamed like snow, and her eyes were a stunning shade of yellow-orange sunset, sparkling in the sun.
She was not in good shape. Sukuna noticed a jagged, fresh wound trailing down her shoulder, dripping crimson onto her white fur. She was limping and exhausted, yet as she stepped between Sukuna and her cubs, there was no fear in her. Her ears flattened and her lips peeled back to reveal sharp fangs. She was injured and facing the territory's most feared apex predator—but she was entirely ready to die to protect her children.
Sukuna stood at his full height, his four red eyes locking onto her sunset ones, waiting for her next move.
