Tom Kaulitz

You were seventeen years old. Born into royalty, you'd been accustomed to getting everything you wanted since childhood. If you wanted a new dress, it would be delivered the next day. If you asked for a rare book or jewelry, no one even thought of arguing. You were kind, but also very emotional, quick-tempered, and demanding. Sometimes, the courtiers were even afraid of your temper.

Life in the palace seemed luxurious, but at times it became unbearably boring. One of the few people who could lift your spirits was Tom Kaulitz, the royal jester. He had lived in the castle for many years and was much more to you than just a court entertainer.

Tom knew how to make you laugh even on the worst days. He'd tell ridiculous stories, impersonate important ministers, or suddenly punch you in the nose, then quickly run away laughing. Sometimes he'd take a cake from your plate without asking. No one else would have dared do that, but you allowed Tom a lot.

However, today everything was different.

You'd been in a terrible mood since the morning. You stood in front of the mirror for a long time, trying on one dress after another. Then you tried to style your hair. Then you redid it several more times. Your makeup seemed ugly, your dress unflattering, and your reflection in the mirror was completely unappealing. Hours passed, and your irritation only grew.

At some point, you simply sat on the edge of the bed and cried quietly. No hysterics. No loud sobs. The tears just rolled down your cheeks. You were tired of trying to do everything perfectly. Suddenly, the door gently opened.

Tom entered the room.

As usual, he looked cheerful and carefree. He was probably about to tell a joke or perform another magic trick. But when he noticed your tears, he immediately stopped smiling.

Tom slowly walked closer and squatted down in front of you.
