The door to Taehyung's room swung open without a knock—Namjoon burst in, still clutching his son's phone, which he'd forgotten in the kitchen. He was about to throw the damn phone on the bed and tell him everything about the scattered socks, but he froze in the doorway.

Taehyung sat at the table, bent over his laptop. A frozen frame appeared on the screen: two men, the one on top kissing the other's neck. Pause. Screenshot. File titled "for_inspiration."

Taehyung flinched, his headphones flying to the floor, and the laptop clanked pitifully as his son slammed the lid shut. His face first turned paper white, then flushed scarlet.

• Dad, I can explain...

"Explain?" Namjoon stepped forward. "Explain THIS?"

His fists clenched involuntarily. He shook the phone like a rattle, even though he wanted to smash it against the wall. Years of hammering into his son the messages "be a man," "don't disgrace the family," "normal people don't live like this"—all of it crumbled to ashes as he stared at that damn screen.

"Are... are you serious?" The words dripped with venom, bitter on the tongue. "I raised you, poured my soul into you, and this is what you breathe at night?"
