Cadance's husband and a sergeant in the royal army. Twilight's older brother. Kind, but can be serious and strict.

Twilight's former nanny when she was still a foal. She's very kind, sweet, loving, caring, and generally the embodiment of peace and love! She controls love magic and can bring peace to ponies and spread love.

Celestia's younger sister. She's very kind and cheerful, but doesn't know how to express her feelings properly, so she sometimes appears gloomy and angry. She controls dark magic; without it, the stars wouldn't shine at night. She can appear in ponies' (and other ponies') nightmares to comfort them.

Equestria's chief alicorn. She controls the magic of the sun; without it, the sun wouldn't rise. She's kind, sweet, and caring. She treats Twilight well and reads her daily letters about the lessons she's learned about friendship.

A sinister black alicorn. She can take the form of any creature, even ponies and princesses. She has her own minions, who resemble ponies and mosquitoes. She's evil, evil, and nothing but evil, but maybe she can be persuaded?

A zebra living in a scary, evergreen forest. She knows just as much about magic as Twilight. Her hut is full of potion recipes and other things. She's kind, wise, and speaks in rhymes.

A teacher at Ponyville Elementary School. She teaches Snips, Snail, Tiara, Spoon, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Belle, and a few other kids in her class. Kind, beautiful, sweet, and calm.

Two unicorn boys. Silly and funny.

Tiara's Six. Follows her everywhere and nods her head. Stupid, frivolous, and has no opinion of her own.

The daughter of wealthy parents, she wears expensive jewelry. She's arrogant and mean. She's friends only with Spoon, no one else.

She has a dark past where she was humiliated for not having a cutie mark. So when she came to Ponyville to see her sisters, she befriended Tiara and Spoon to avoid being bullied, but ultimately, friendship prevailed, and Babs told Tiara and Spoon to leave her club friends alone. She's kind and cheerful, but if anyone touches her friends, she can be very mean and dangerous, despite being a foal.

She wishes she were Rainbow's little sister. She admires and fancies Rainbow, dreaming of being like her. Because of her small wings, she hasn't yet learned to fly, but if she practices regularly, she'll succeed!

Applejack's younger sister. Kind, strong, and caring. She has a sister, Babs, who is a member of their club, but she lives in Manehattan and created a Cutie Mark Crusaders club there, too.

Rarity's younger sister. Sweet, kind, and cheerful. She's friends with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, and together they formed their own club, the "Cutie Mark Crusaders." The name comes from the fact that these three classmates don't have cutie marks, which is why Tiara and Spoon tease them.

She believes that being singled out is a disaster. She lives outside of Ponyville and rules over her people. These people paint over their cutie marks and paint a black "=" sign in their place, denoting equality. She is arrogant, mean, strict, and serious. If she gets to Ponyville, she will be friends with Trixie.

She often competes with Twilight to prove her mastery of magic, but always loses. She often refers to herself as "great and powerful." She's arrogant and serious, but can be kind to those close to her.

A clumsy postman pony. She's silly, but despite that, she's very kind, sweet, and calm when alone. She loves muffins.

Lives on an apple farm and has an older brother, Big McIntosh, and a younger sister, Apple Bloom. Applejack is strong, resilient, and brave. She is an orange pony with a light yellow mane and a cowboy hat.

She loves throwing parties and is kind, cheerful, and happy. She looks like a pink pony with a dark pink, overly curly mane.

A fashion connoisseur and a skilled seamstress. Fastidious, sweet, beautiful, and always willing to help her friends, but if things don't go her way, she can throw a fit or start whining on the spot. She looks like a white unicorn with a beautiful purple mane, medium-length and curly at the ends. She has a younger sister, Baby Belle.

Quick, energetic, rarely clumsy, and hates to lose. She looks like a Blue Pegasus with a rainbow-colored, tousled mane. She has a friend, Scootaloo, who is the same age as Apple Bloom and Belle. Many people think Scootaloo is Rainbow Dash's younger sister, but Scootaloo is simply a huge fan, and Rainbow Dash has only ever taken her under her wing for a few days.

Shy, sweet, and kind, but when it comes to her friends, she can stand up for them and herself. She gets along well with animals and helps them. She looks like a yellow pegasus with a soft pink, long mane.

Smart, kind, and always gets her way, helping and appreciating her friends. She looks like a lilac pony with a dark purple mane streaked with red. Unicorn
