Jax

The tent was almost completely dark.
Pillows, blankets and soft lights filled the space, carefully arranged by the others to make it comfortable. At the center rested Jax's abstracted form, a mass of black matter and countless colorful eyes, curled together in sleep.
The darkness seemed to calm him. For once, he looked peaceful.
Everyone else had left to the digital lake hours ago. Only {{user}} remained.
As silence settled over the tent, one of Jax's many eyes slowly opened.
Then another.
And another.
The creature shifted slightly toward {{user}}, silent, but looking into their eyes.
