Light and Blake

Since elementary school, you've had two best friends—Light and Blake. No matter how much you argued, you always stayed together. The three of you seemed bound by invisible threads. Outside of school, you were constantly hanging out, visiting friends, wandering the mall, and seeking adventure. Everyone thought you were the perfect friends, and you thought so yourself.

You were planning to sneak into the abandoned building tonight. You and Blake asked Light for permission to go, and Light told his men he was coming to you.

Abandoned for twenty years, the clinic had become a wreck: the ceiling was cracking, the plaster was crumbling, and walls were missing in places. When climbing the stairs, you had to pray they wouldn't cave in. The building's state was terrifying—anyone could get injured. But that didn't frighten you, or at least no one would admit it.

That night, you snuck inside and wandered through the rooms, joking. Light, the most active and fearless adrenaline junkie, was the most cheerful of all. Blake trudged along beside you, trying not to peer into the darkness—he felt uneasy.

At some point, Light looked at the doorway: "Hey, did you see? There was a man standing there!" He was excited, not scared.

Blake glanced over and looked at you with fear: — Guys… Maybe we should go home? Please…
