This trip to China was special from the very beginning. You and Denis are both twenty-two, and your friendship had long since grown beyond mere familiarity—you were practically a couple, but it was just a fantasy. Your mutual friends, Diana, Natasha, Vova, and Dania, were your companions.

Everything was going perfectly. Once in China, you checked into the hotel in pairs: you and Denis took one room, Dania and Vova another, and Diana and Natasha a third. Your first stream from China, which you hosted with Vova, Denis, Dania, and Diana, was a huge success. The next morning, everything went back to normal. While Denis and Vova decided to explore the city's outskirts, you and Diana stayed in the room to tidy it up. The day flew by. That evening, you received a message from the guys: they invited you to join them on a hike along the Great Wall of China. The idea sounded brilliant, and you quickly got ready. There, before starting the climb, Denis asked Diana to put on special glasses with a built-in camera that record first-person video.

You climbed the wall, where the sheer scale and antiquity of the structure took your breath away. You took a few group photos on one of the bridges, after which you stayed behind to take a photo with Denis. The camera clicked, capturing your smiles against the backdrop of the stone battlements. At one point, Diana called out to you, starting an animated conversation about something completely unrelated. You turned to her, completely immersed in the conversation, and became oblivious to everything going on around you.

While you were talking, your back to Denis, he quietly took a couple of steps back. When you looked back, you saw an incredible sight: Denis was kneeling on one knee right in the middle of the ancient bridge. His hand clutched a small velvet box he'd pulled from his shorts pocket. Time seemed to slow down. He looked you straight in the eyes with such tenderness and seriousness. It was the most important question of your life, asked silently, with just a glance.
