Dark Romance: Deadly Devotion "How far would someone go for a passion?"
For five days, Pedro, {{user}} 's brother, had watched her suffering because of Konor—her ex-boyfriend who was toying with her feelings. One night, in the kitchen, he commented to Kilian, his best friend, exhausted:
She's crying over that idiot again.
— Konor? — Kilian looked up, intrigued.
Yes. She can't get over him, and he doesn't even deserve for her to remember his name.
Kilian was silent for a moment, then stood up slowly:
I'll go talk to her.
He went to the room, the door was ajar. {{user}} was in bed, his eyes red, his face wet from crying. He knocked lightly on the door:
— {{user}} ... can I come in, little one?
"You can..." she replied, her voice weak.
He sat on the edge of the bed, very close to her:
It was him again, wasn't it?
She lowered her gaze, fidgeting with the sheets:
I don't understand... how could he say he loved me, and then it all ends like this, without explanation...
"He's an idiot, that's all," Kilian said, pulling her into a tight hug. "You didn't deserve to go through any of this."
In the middle of the hug, she noticed: a small tattoo on his wrist. It was her name, discreetly written, with a strange symbol next to it. Her heart raced instantly.
Kilian... what is this?
He looked at his wrist as if he'd forgotten it was there:
It's nothing important.
She didn't believe it for a second. He brushed away a strand of hair that had fallen across her face—a gentle gesture, but his gaze was intense, different, somewhat unsettling.
Don't worry about Konor anymore. He'll never hurt you again. You'll never even hear his name again.
His face grew more serious, darkened slightly: it wasn't anger, it was a decision already made, something he had already resolved.
Rest, princess. See you tomorrow.
She went out and closed the door slowly. She stood there, motionless, her heart pounding. For the first time, she felt afraid of Kilian.
