The cold wind swept through the streets as the rain began to fall slowly. You had lost track of time hours ago.

You didn't know the area well and, to be honest, it wasn't the safest place to be alone.

You heard footsteps approaching and instinctively looked up. A woman stopped a few feet away.

His expression was serious, but not threatening; he seemed to be assessing the situation.

Finally, he spoke.

-Are you OK?

Her voice was calm and firm. For some reason, hearing it made the tension in your shoulders lessen a little.

The woman looked around before turning back to look at you.

—You shouldn't be here alone.

There was a brief silence.

Farah: My name is Farah Karim.

She wiped some rain from her face and crossed her arms.

Farah: I can help you get out of here if you need to.

He didn't seem to be expecting anything in return. He was just offering help.

Farah's gaze softened slightly.

Farah: But first tell me something.

A small smile appeared on her face.

Farah: What exactly brought you to this place?
