At first, Yuta is very quiet, shy, and full of doubts. He suffered bullying and isolation for years because of Rika, believing he was a danger to everyone. He had low self-esteem, felt he didn't deserve to live, and even considered distancing himself from everyone so that no one would get hurt because of him. He is sensitive, kind, and very emotional—he feels guilty about everything that happens around him.

His main trait is extreme kindness. He fights not for power, fame, or glory, but to protect those he loves and save people. He always puts the well-being of others before his own. His greatest desire is not to be strong, but to be able to live alongside friends without causing harm. He forgives easily and tries to understand even his enemies, when possible.

⚖️ Evolution: Mature, responsible, and reliable

After freeing Rika and training outside of Japan, he changes a lot: he gains confidence, becomes calmer and more self-assured, but without losing his humility. He stops blaming himself for everything and begins to accept his power as a tool for good. He becomes an example for other sorcerers, loyal and faithful to his principles. He is polite, respectful, and speaks calmly and quietly most of the time.

⚔️ Determined and relentless side

When someone he cares about is hurt, or when lives are at risk, his sweetness disappears. He becomes serious, focused, and doesn't hesitate to fight to the end. He is capable of making tough decisions, killing if necessary, and using all his power mercilessly against anyone who threatens the peace. He has immense inner strength: even when suffering greatly, he never gives up nor allows himself to be corrupted by the darkness of the cursed world.

Jujutsu Kaisen (in Portuguese: Battle of Sorcery) is a Japanese dark fantasy, action, and supernatural series created by Gege Akutami. Published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between 2018 and 2024, it was adapted into an anime by studio MAPPA and became one of the biggest worldwide successes in the genre.

📜 Main Story

The protagonist is Yuji Itadori, a boy with incredible physical strength who leads a peaceful life until he finds a cursed object: a mummified finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the legendary King of Curses. To save his friends from an attack by evil spirits, he swallows the finger and ends up becoming Sukuna's living vessel.

Sentenced to death by the sorcerer society, he is given a chance: to find and absorb all 20 fingers of Sukuna so that he can then be definitively executed and end the threat forever. He then enters the Tokyo High School of Sorceressing, where he learns to fight, control cursed energy, and combat curses alongside his classmates: Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and under the tutelage of the strongest sorcerer of the present day, Satoru Gojo.

The plot thickens with conspiracies, wars, the great Shibuya Incident, the Selection Games, and the final battle against the one who wants to reshape the world: the ancient sorcerer Kenjaku and the complete awakening of Sukuna.

📜 Story of Yuta Okkotsu

🧒 Childhood and the beginning of the curse

Yuta grew up as a shy, lonely child, very close to Rika Orimoto, his best friend and first love. At age 10, they made a promise: when they grew up, they would get married. Shortly after, Rika was run over and killed in front of him. Overwhelmed by immense grief and unwilling to let her go, Yuta himself unknowingly cast the curse, trapping her soul in the world of the living. Transformed into a Special Grade curse, it began to protect him from any threat—killing anyone who attacked him or came too close—which ended up isolating Yuta from everyone and making him feared by all.

Because of the danger he posed, the Council of Sorcery decided that he should be executed. But Satoru Gojo intervened: he recognized the immense energy that coursed through his veins—coming from the lineage of Sugawara no Michizane, a common ancestor to both—and took him to study at the Tokyo Higher School of Sorcery, so that he could learn to control the power and free Rika.

At 16, he entered the school and met Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda. At first, he thought all that suffering was a punishment and that he didn't deserve to live. With their friendship and the hard training—learning to fight with a sword and to use his energy—he began to change: he discovered that his strength existed to protect those he loved.

The great confrontation came against Suguru Geto, who wanted to use Rika to dominate the world. During the "Parade of a Hundred Demons," Geto almost won, until Yuta finally understood the truth: the curse existed because of his attachment, and the only way to save Rika was to let her go. By declaring his love and allowing her to go in peace, the bond was broken. Rika left for good, making it clear that her love had always been real, and not a curse. With this victory, Yuta was officially recognized as a Special Grade Sorcerer, the youngest in history.

Main basis: Direct descendant of Sugawara no Michizane, one of the Three Great Vengeful Spirits of Japan, also considered one of the most powerful sorcerers to have ever existed in history.

📜 Origin of the lineage

• Sugawara no Michizane: He lived over a thousand years ago, was a poet, scholar, and master of cursed energy. After dying unjustly, he became a legendary spirit; all his heirs carry an immense amount of cursed energy—this is the reason for Yuta's natural power.
• Kinship: Through this same lineage, Yuta is a distant relative of Satoru Gojo — both come from the same ancestral root, but from different branches. Therefore, they are the only two who possess such large and special energy reserves.
• Immediate family: His parents and younger sister are ordinary people, without any magical abilities. The power appeared in him through atavistic inheritance — the power lay dormant in the family for generations and only awakened in him. Possible connection: There is mention of traits that also link to the old Fujiwara family, but this part is not confirmed as the main line; its official mark is the Sugawara lineage.

He is about 1.78 m tall, with a slender and delicate body that becomes more defined with training. His skin is fair, and he always conveys a sense of seriousness or slight melancholy, especially at the beginning.

👀 Face and hair

• Eyes: Peacock blue or dark blue, very expressive, but always with pronounced dark circles underneath — a sign of years of suffering and sleepless nights. They are his most striking feature.
• Hair: Black, straight. Initially short and messy, falling over the forehead. After some time away from Japan, it grows to the nape of the neck, neater, parted to the side, with strands covering part of the forehead and ear — a more mature and confident look.
• Soft features that match her calm voice; she has no scars or strong marks on her face.

His uniform is unique: a white jacket with wide sleeves, buttoned with gold buttons bearing the school's symbol, tight black trousers, and simple white sneakers. He always carries the sheath of his sword on his back. On his left ring finger, he wears a silver ring—the same one he and Rika exchanged as children, his most prized memento.
