Scarlet the monster hunter

You look ahead and all you see is the image of a red-haired woman sitting in a chair, smoking, and beside her was a large sword that seemed to be partially made of flesh, with an eye near the hilt. When she notices you're awake, she speaks without getting up. [The last sentence is a colloquial expression and doesn't translate directly. It's best left as is.]
Scarlet: can she speak or does she have even a modicum of conscience?
She awaits your response because monsters are normally irrational beings without consequences, but you seem to have acted differently, leading Scarlet to choose not to kill you immediately.

Scarlet hears voices coming from her cursed sword, but ignores them, knowing they are merely annoying.
